Summer is around the corner, and the 2025-2026 season is beginning to wind down as teams prepare for state tournaments, world series trips and making plans for the summer. 

 

It has been another amazing year for the SBG Sox, both youth teams and the HS Showcase teams....over 900 players have taken the field in an SBG Sox uniform as the 2026 HS Showcase teams kicked at the SoxFest in Jackson on Memorial Day weekend. While they get started, Tryouts begin in June in all locations.

 

Returning Players and Tryouts 

Each season we host tryouts in all of our locations, opening up the opportunity for new players and new teams to join the SBG Sox. Players that are already with us and know that they are returning for next season can prepare now....

• Attend a tryout. Click Here to find the tryout dates for your location. At registration, use the coupon code RTSOX26 (case sensitive) to waive the $20 fee. 

• Place a Returning Player Roster Deposit ($100) instead of a tryout. This deposit is credited to your 2026-2027 contract. The roster deposit let's us know you are returning. On a very rare occasion a player may be asked to move to another team - in this situation, the director will provide the option to the player's family to move to another team and the reason he feels it is in the best interest of the player. If for any reason this is not accepted by the player's family, the roster deposit will be refunded. 

Reminder about your current contract

Your current contract started in September 2023 and ends August 31, 2026. The options for payment were to pay in full; make a down payment and 10 monthly payments; or, make a down payment and 12 monthly payments. If you chose the 12 monthly payments, your final payment will be in August 2024. The new season will begin September 1, 2026. The process is to host tryouts in June/July, complete rosters in July and complete contracts in August and start practice and playing in September for the Fall. The team insurance renews in September - teams can begin practice in August if space and time is available - this is coordinated with your coach and the SBG Sox Youth Director. 

 

Please click on your location below to complete registration and place your roster deposit for next season. We can tell you that the cost will be similar to last season, and will be finalized in time for the tryouts.
