P360 Performance Sports Acquires Facility in Pelham AL

Jackson MS – P360 Performance Sports, headquartered in Jackson MS, announced today that the company acquired Geaux Play Sports in Pelham AL. The Pelham facility is the 3rd location in Birmingham, with facilities in Sylacauga and Hoover as well.


The facility, a 19,000 square foot baseball and softball academy, includes athlete performance training, personal training and fitness programs for youth and adults.


Lisa Hall is the founder of Geaux Play Sports and has been in operation for 12 years, joining the P360 management team as the Director of Performance Training for the company. She is a certified trainer, including certifications in AFAA, ISCA, FiTour and Spin. She has also been the fitness expert and consultant for ABC 33/40. Lisa was the first female to win Grand Champion in her Taekwondo organization and currently holds a 3rd degree black belt.


She joins the seasoned Alabama management team, including directors Kennon McArthur and Joe Yarbrough, who founded the CABA USA program in Birmingham, and Mark Fuller in Auburn. Kennon played in the Phillies organization, while Joe played with the Rays and Mark was with the Mets organization.


SBG Sox teams will practice and train in the facility and membership is available to all players to access daily classes, training and cage rental. The SSG Sox Softball program will expand to include the Hoover and Pelham area and will practice and train in the facility.


Chris Snopek founded P360 Performance Sports in Jackson in 2001 after retiring from professional baseball. The SBG Sox Baseball program began in 2008 with two teams, and in 2019 it initiated a growth strategy with the acquisition of the Hattiesburg facility, and then Auburn in 2020. The Pearl training facility was added in 2021, along with the opening of the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2022. CABA Baseball merged with P360 in November 2022 to become P360 Performance Sports, with the addition of Geaux Play Sports in Pelham closing on January 1, 2023.


This Spring and Summer programs have grown to 59 youth baseball and softball teams, and 32 SBG Sox Summer Showcase teams. The 2023 Fall will bring the 18th edition of the P360 Fall Wood Bat League, with leagues forming in all locations. Last Fall, 23 teams competed in Jackson, Hattiesburg, and Auburn.


P360 Performance owns and operates the Southeast Collegiate League, a summer league for college players. Under the leadership of commissioner Cory Hough, the league has teams in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana. The Directors for the league include former MLB players Chris Snopek (White Sox), Jack Cressend (Twins) and Ed Easley (Cardinals). In Alabama, former professional players Lee Gann (Mariners) and Adam Heisler (White Sox) are Directors in Birmingham and Mobile, and in Huntsville the Director is coach Johnny Johnson.
