SBG Sox Baseball Welcomes Baysox Baseball Academy

SBG Sox announced today that the Baysox Baseball Academy has joined the organization and will become part of the SBG Sox High School Showcase Program, and will work out of the P360 Performance Sports facility in Mobile AL.


"We are excited to have the Baysox join us in Mobile as we continue to grow the SBG Sox in Alabama. Our organization continues to be blessed with quality baseball people like Lamar Cowart, Tippy Passeau and Marcus Bell, who care about the players and love the game. They have built a great program and will be a huge asset to the organization. With almost 200 players committing to college from the SBG Sox in the last 4 years, The Baysox teams brings the same passion to have a big influence on players", remarked Chris Snopek, founder and CEO of P360 Performance Sports, the parent company of the SBG Sox.

P360 Performance Sports - Mobile was added this winter with the acquisition of The Performance Lab. Ben Daw is the Facility Director and has been instrumental in working with the addition of the Baysox to the program. "I have worked with Baysox for several years and know them well", said Ben Daw. "They have have had a positive impact on so many players and always compete at a high level. This is definitely a win-win for SBG Sox, Baysox, and all the players that will be joining this summer."



The Baysox tradition focuses on the person, not just the player. On the field, players learn high level baseball development skills including preparation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Beyond baseball, academics, communication and community service are enforced to prepare players for the next level.


Baysox Baseball Academy have had 30 players sign to play in college in the last 4 classes.

  • JG Bell (PRCC JUCO National Champs/South Alabama)

  • Tyler Bell (UAB Blazers)

  • Gabe Broadus (PRCC JUCO National Champs/Southern Miss)

  • Grant Jay (Dallas Baptist Freshman All-American)



About SBG Sox High School Showcase Baseball Program

The SBG Sox High School Showcase Baseball Program was started in the summer of 2020 under the Snopek Baseball Group. In 4 summer seasons, the program has grown throughout Mississippi and Alabama, with 34 teams based in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Auburn, Birmingham, Hartselle and Mobile. SBG Sox Directors include Chris Snopek (Ole Miss, Chicago White Sox), Mark Fuller (Auburn, New York Mets) and Larry Knight (William Carey, Atlanta Braves), 188 players have committed to play in college from the program since its inception in 2020. Teams are organized as National and Regional teams, playing events in Perfect Game, PBR, 2D, Sox Fest and others each summer season.


About SBG Sox Youth Program

Enjoying over 16 years of playing youth baseball, the program started in Jackson with a couple of 9U teams. One of those teams went on to win back-to-back national championships at 13 and 14, and runner up at 15. In 2024, there are now 70 youth teams with 850 players suiting up for the SBG Sox in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Auburn, Birmingham, Mobile and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Pascagoula and Gulfport. Teams ages from 7U - 14U, with 13U and 14U teams in Alabama also playing a showcase summer schedule.


About P360 Performance Sports

P360 Performance Sports has baseball academies in Jackson, Pearl, Hattiesburg, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Auburn, Pelham, and Mobile. Each facility employees a professional instruction staff in all baseball skills training. Hattiesburg includes the P360 Pitching Performance Program led by Alex Knight that provides high level pitching instruction and development for high school and college pitchers. Pelham includes a 24-hour gym, personal training, kickboxing, speed and agility training. SBG Sox players are members. The P360 Membership includes Daily Skills Classes for players of all ages.
